that's just a bad mod/addon issue. i checked it on vert and other bbses and all my tests worked.

Yep, as DW said, if you're looking at an ANSI message in MM, hit the 'V'
key to View it as ANSI. Usually seems to work pretty well.

all of the test ones and whatnot, but again could be as you said.. mod or whatnot that isn't configured properly to handle all cases.

i used to be able look at a raw ansi file in a text editor and i can see what it will appear as. i'm not there anymore, but i still know whats what.
