    Fixes for narrow terminals

    In terminals < 80 cols in width, only the message # and "from" field are shown in listings, so don't show column headings for fields that aren't shown. Display a '-' in the flag column for deleted messages (that aren't flagged). Shorten the prompt when listing msgs for terminals narrower than 64 cols
    (for phigz). I don't know of any systems/terminals that use 64 cols however. ---

    Fix for preview mode with narrow terminals

    Longer messages would cause the "Preview lines" separator line to wrap.
    Chasing 40 column issues is a bit of a rabbit hole, so I think I'll pause
    for now.

    Fix bug that caused a [msglist:sub] last_read_mail key to be created

    This just generated unnecessary noise in data/user/*.ini files, no harm.

    iniSetObject (used by userprops.js) will set undefined properties as blank
    keys in the section (oops, I don't recall if this is intentional or not), so
    we need to 'delete' the property instead of assigning undefined to it.

    Search forward/backward by subjet without "re:"/"re: " prefix

    The search seems to be backward by default (at least when listing a
    sub-board), so should look into that. But at least now you can find
    replies that include a "re:" prefix easily.

    Searching by thread should be added too.

    In some uses (depending on the list order), typing a message number didn't
    take you to the intended message.

    msglist: reply to an unroutable netmail address as local e-mail (#1215)

    mail_reply() chose between bbs.netmail() and bbs.email() on the sender net
    type alone. When that address is one this system will not route as netmail
    - one of its own domains, as carried by mail submitted over authenticated
    SMTP - the netmail attempt fails with "Invalid NetMail address" followed by "Failed to send", and there is no way to answer the message.

    Fall back to the sender's user number, as the built-in mail reader has done since be05f55db5 (chest-4-dies, 2026-02-11). Sending such mail back out
    through our own SMTP server used to work by accident, until 4aa2274c97 (provide-5-player, 2026-01-22) stopped netmail to our own addresses.

    Replies to genuinely remote senders are unchanged: the fallback needs a
    sender extension, which a message from another system does not carry.

    This also answers messages already stored with the old sender net type.
