    Normal would be, him using 1:135/999, and you put your reply on hold
    for him to pick up.

    But if you really want to reach him, the effort is very little...

    Yes, I did do what you suggested and made a fake node config for that
    node number, and we have successfully exchanged netmails. Thanks.

    Ok, great. So we can expect a new node in the net 135 segment of nodelist soon? ;-)

    Don't blame you, the stamp is more expensive than the envelope these
    days.

    In some places it doesn't even work anymore ... e.g. Denmark ... snailmail has been discontinued there a while ago.

    Thatone belonged to a 'Burt Gibbs' from Miami and was dropped from the nodelist Jan.12th 2001 .... 25 years ago...

    A few weeks ago I jumped through some remarkable hoops to add a single node in R40 Israel.

    Like you I am used to new nodes using /999 but Policy 4 mentions /9999,
    do you know why the diffence?

    People not knowing what's in P4?

    Hector_Santos used to have 1:135/382 and /383. Maybe he didn't remember correctly, or noticed in de nodelist /382 was already taken, and so was /383 from 2019 to 2025...
