Well, it looks like I'm the new NC for Net 124 in R19.
Congrats! Or my condolences, whatever you feel appropriate. ;-)
First I don't think I ever used the "fuck(in)" word. I mostly stick to technical comments, but sometimes a segment has so many easy to avoid errors, that the *C deserves a provocative response. ;-)
I haven't seen a change yet in the daily. But if you post it here or in a private netmail if you like, we can comment up front.
I'll be using makenl on Linux, if it matters.
If it's just you as only node left in the net, that might be overkill, just edit it by hand.

Thanks, I think, or not.

Easy for you, maybe not for others. I barely even look at a nodelist let alone
know all the parameters.

I expect Southern Charm to show up on the no valid dns list. I'll see if I can
get hold of Lawrence and figure his intentions.
Same with Hoffman.

Probably, but you never know. We might get a BBS explosion!

There is plenty of documentation to be found, if one just cares to
put a little bit of time into it, or ask help from others, if you
don't know where to start...

The XA flag is definitly wrong. If you have a file request processor
active along your Binkd, at best you can have XW or XX if it supports
update requests.

A file request flag makes no sense for a Pvt node, so the XA flag can
be left out.

Same remark for the XA flag.

Oops... you're not replying to anything specific here, so I lack
context. D the nodelist police ask you to change your node number?
The "nodelist police" have no authority on anything, other than being
a pair of effeminate dutch twats.
Another "hack" is to put your name in CC - your tosser should place
it in the carbon copy area. Well, that depends on your tosser; I
don't know much about SBBSecho software.
If someone addresses an echomail directly to me, Synchronet will let
me know about it. If it's a general whine then I won't.
Did the nodelist police ask you to change your node number?
If the nodelist police are going to keep issuing citations for
improper nodelist flags, then they ought to have a proper coordinator title.
We've got Z1C, R16C, NCs, NECs, RECs, ZECs, and enough coordinators to coordinate the coordinators. The logical next step is obviously NLC: Nodelist
Coordinator.
The contents of the nodelist is the responsability of the *C's. The
nodelist police, are like journalists, they only investigate, and report about their findings. Nothing more, nothing less...

So the name "police" is totally wrong. It should be "private eye" :D

244/1120 doesn't exist in the nodelist!

Like those wannabe cops that add lights to their cars and go around flashing
fake badges? :)
