My SBBSECHO.log file show this -
2025-04-09 11:27:08 fidonet_proboard: Unrecognized internal code, assumed passthru
2025-04-09 11:27:08 fidonet_rexx: Unrecognized internal code, assumed passthru 2025-04-09 11:27:08 agn_general: Unrecognized internal code, assumed passthru 2025-04-09 11:27:08 agn_bbs: Unrecognized internal code, assumed passthru 2025-04-09 11:27:08 agn_artdemo: Unrecognized internal code, assumed passthru 2025-04-09 11:27:08 agn_software: Unrecognized internal code, assumed passthru 2025-04-09 11:27:08 agn_unixlinux: Unrecognized internal code, assumed passthru 2025-04-09 11:27:08 agn_agoranet: Unrecognized internal code, assumed passthru 2025-04-09 11:27:08 agn_testing: Unrecognized internal code, assumed passthru 2025-04-09 11:27:08 agn_sysops: Unrecognized internal code, assumed passthru 2025-04-09 11:27:08 fidonet_listskernelannou: Unrecognized internal code, assumed passthru

2025-04-09 11:27:08 fidonet_listszerodayadvi: Unrecognized internal code, assumed passthru

I had previously deleted my Fidonet message areas but for some reason sbbsecho still sees the these fidonet areas. They should be gone. Also the "agn" (Agoranet) areas ARE setup in SBBS but are assumed as passthru and I don't know why?

Those internal codes are not present in your areas.bbs file. Fix that.

Check your area file. And really, if you don't have any downlinks, you don't *need* an area file at all:

None of those look like valid echotags.

Check your area file. And really, if you don't have any downlinks, you don't *need* an area file at all: https://wiki.synchro.net/util:sbbsecho#area_file

Right before Gamgee posted his reply, I found that in the wiki's, so I create a new one and it works fine now, BUT I saw what it said about not needing them, so I could delete the areas.bbs?

Yes, so long as your configuration meets the requirements (e.g. have the "Uplink for Message Groups" set correctly).

    I have no downlinks. What
about the other area0.bbs and the others?

Those are just backups of your areas.bbs file. You can keep or delet them, your choice.

Thank you, that fixed the problem. I did find that in the wiki's finally.
