Are these here, instead of the FSX_BOT echo because of the ANSI header? Since it seems more bot content than ad or ANSI content.
I was thinking the complete opposite. Instead of showing a static Add, like everyone here, it is much nicer to add dynamic content instead. An add with latest (capped) files.
(I am not the final arbiter of bases; it just seems like a better fit ther than here, and I'm wondering about it.) Wondering and speaking out is always the good thing ^^.

I was thinking the complete opposite. Instead of showing a static Add, like everyone here, it is much nicer to add dynamic content instead. An add with latest (capped) files.
Seems reasonable enough, but most of the FSX_BOT channel _is_ dynamic content, that most have some sort of connection to some BBS, including recently-uploaded files.
Also, I'm paying more attention here because I'm making sure my own daily ANSIs are showing up correctly, since they're different every day, and I'm not entirely convinced that they'll all show up correctly.
Though it does make me think that, hey, maybe some of the daily posters could have multiple different ads? Heck, I could probably make an ANSI or two, if people wanted something to switch it up a bit.
(I am not the final arbiter of bases; it just seems like a better fit than here, and I'm wondering about it.) Wondering and speaking out is always the good thing ^^.
And I'm glad you responded. I have my opinions, of course, but as long as people are working toward something positive, anything like this (from my side, anyway) is pedantry where it's more wondering than any serious, "something must be done!".
Since, while I don't generally look at new files posts (signal to noise ratio just isn't enough for me to find it valuable, as it takes time and concentration), them existing seems mostly positive.
At least in a world where it's not 300+ BBSs posting them, anyway. But I think we're a small-enough subculture that a variety of things are just _fine_ because of the scene size.
