    From Roon@21:4/148 to All on Thursday, August 27, 2026 21:35:31
    Hello All,

    i've created a small netmail2email gateway which you can use easily,
    just address a netmail to my system (21:4/148) and give the email
    address as the To field.

    Ex.:
    =====================================
    From: Roon
    To: [email protected] (21:4/148)
    Subj: Anything

    [...blabla...]
    =====================================

    i know that most of you can send emails easily, but for pure retro systems (like msdos/os2 systems) can be a help, to send yourself some stuff directly from the bbs. (daily logs, forwarding netmails to yourself, whatever...)

    and for the n3rdz: everything runs on native os/2, Weasel SMTP + NetMgr/2 + small REXX script between the two. its stable, but not recommended for life
    saving purposes ;)

    Cool idea! I just tried a test out but I'm not sure how to get it to work.

    I'm currently using Deon's netmail API here on Hub 3 so perhaps the extra '@' are causing issues.

    my to field to the api looks like:
    "[email protected]@21:4/148@fsxnet"

    I get a 200 buck but no msg id which leads me to think the hub's netmail api doesn't like the extra '@'.

    I'll have to try again later sending via a packet instead of through the api and see how that works.

    Yup, it will be - too many @'s in there ...
