I am a right winged homosexual, but there is a reason why there is Alphabe peoples month. Many people were harassed and even violence was committed o them because of who they are. It would of been nice just to be who you are not having to worry about society persecuting you when you are younger.

Many ethnic or minority groups of people experienced violence because of who they were, yet for the most part we do not have entire months for such history
lessons. For some reason a big deal is made about this particular group.
It's pride at still being alive, still standing, still living an authentic life, despite a group of people going out of their way to be awful about it
Meanwhile, trans people got kicked out of the military because somehow thei service to the country was unwanted, even though they were ready and willin to serve.

I do believe that is covered by the "Q+" part of LGBTQ+ Pride Month, which why he quasi-sarcastically brought it up.

We also have Black Pride Month, Asian Pride Month, and Latin American Prid "Month" (actually 5 or 6 weeks long) but, yes, this is the one that folks social media sure make the most noise about.

I would be shocked if Canada does not also celebrate Pride.

Technically at least three days celebrate the military:
Armed Forces Day for active military
Memorial Day for the fallen
Veteran's Day for former military
As someone else pointed out, May is supposedly Military Appreciation Month
That is NOT what is being celebrated for this "month". Trust me.
I have tons of gay friends and co-workers. I can care less. Don't flaunt it around for a month. Maybe I should make August "I fucked my wife in the ass month" and talk about it all month and force everything to go oh wow, so happy for you.
