I was lucky enough to get a lifetime account when they first appeared on the scene, I happy they stuck around unlike ProXPN.

But I use Private Internet Access and for my threat model its totally fine. I don't do anything 'illegal' - so I just pay with a CC for a few years at a time and forget about it. They have a good track record with not divulging logs; but if pressed by America or any other 7 eyes countries I'm sure they'd give up the goat...

Again - for me, thats fine. But Mullvad if you're a bad boy.

I do not mean to challenge the point, but just a thought.. If total privacy is for bad boys only, then we are accepting a world where a basic human right is treated as a criminal act. The pursuit of privacy is a universal right, not an admission of guilt.

r/vpn doesn't allow for brands to be mentioned or suggestions to be asked for. How useful is that? I can't use proton vpn 32 bit, it locks up my VM regularly. I need an alternative that would allow for split
tunneling and be of low resource intensity. Windows 10 32 bit.

I use Private Internet Access (PIA). It does do split tunnel. It has a 32 bit version available but they're older versions. The new versions are 64 bit.

Yes I agree! The gov't seems to think if you're wanting privacy you're hiding something. I think thats how they look at VPN's. It's sad but they keep widdling away.

Oh, I totally agree - and I'm hoping to get a Mullvad anonymous $$$ account when my PIA expires; was just saying that PIA, for my threat model, has been a totally fine company to do business with...

    But I'm with ya...

I don't think they do lifetime accounts anymore, I got it through Stack Social back in 2017 when Windscribe was just getting started & no one ever heard of them.

I can't remember exactly how much it was, but it was less than CA$100, not too bad as I have unlimited usage and it works on my laptop, iPhone, iPad & Apple TV.
