Just on the off chance they actually exist.... Are there any door games available to run natively in Linux? Would really like to not have to mess with dosemu or anything like that to get doors up on my system again since the transition.

I think I have 2 or 3 in my file bases. Can't think of the names, but they are usually just like poker or such. I think the usurper github has a native version.

    ... I have a 486, but a .357 is much faster.

There are many. Crewmates Legion (I think thats the name??), and as the other replier said - I can't remember names. The Search function @ 2oFB is your friend; join the LocalZzZ File Conference, join the Door Games File Area and Search for 'linux' in that base...

Hey Dallas. You should still have access to DoorParty, if you were inclined to still go that route.

My personal favorite Door Game Network is DoorParty; maskreet is really on top of things and has great uptime and game selection... also Gold Mine is a fun one.

I used to have all three at one time: bbslink, doorparty, exodus. I now have every door Mark has available on bbslink except for the 2 named TW2002 games.

Will probably look into getting back on DoorParty and Exodus soon.

Thanks man, that means a lot to me. 20fb is one of the most connected to the server and has been for a while, just based on personal observation. I'm always seeing a ton of returning and new users coming from your system daily.

Ok, if you could change the BBS name to: "Legends of Yesteryear" I would appreciate it, and then send me everything I need to be able to use from a Linux instalation of Mystic that would be great.

Yessir; I always show DP doors to the user first, but they have the option of running from any server they like. The way I display doors is thru lightbar menus, and it'll be like:

    LoRD (DP)
    LoRD (BB)
    LoRD (GM)

Etc etc. I think I've personally brought many players to the Hi-Roll Dice game - I've legit been playing it daily since back in the day! [Mostly] ... have you noticed the dirty trick I use? Uh oh.

DoorParty deserves the accolade - 2oFB, on the other hand... I have no idea how we've become a destination bbS. Prolly doesn't hurt that a few big Youtubers shout us out - and we're on a couple 'catch the flag' hacker sites.

    Cheers, buddy!

Actually, in your case, I think I'd apply fresh in the DoorParty app on my BBS. You were one of the ones that applied for it before I automated the hell out of it, and as such the password schema is different from what it was.

So I can retire that account and the process to apply now is way easier for everyone, and after you're approved you can log back into the BBS and app and there's a custom connect package all waiting for you that also has install instructions, but it's super easy. Nothing to fill out, just run the Mystic/Synchronet/Whatever command and you're golden.

With my 1200 doors, I probably should, but I don't want the overhead. Plus, I feel if you are going to run a BBS and want doors, you should find a way to run them yourself.

If someone is setup on linux, setup a windows VM and run GameSRV with the doors on it and rlogin to it. If there is a will there is a way. But they will all be YOUR doors and YOUR BBS.
