    So will Netfoss prevent the door from opening up on the host computer and let it run naturally, on the computer calling in?

    (ADDITIONAL)

    You will still see a local NODE from MYSTIC that is minimized, that is MYSTIC, not the door itself -- it's called SNOOP mode.

    Feel free to send me an email and I will forward you some configs and
    some .bat files for reference. NETFOSS is what is required to "route"
    BBS door game "traffic" through the Telnet Tunnel to be viewed remotely. There are a few games that I gave up on because they would never show up remotely and would only show on the local PC screen.

    Hi SirRonmit,

    I'm a new Mystic BBS sysop. have a Proboard BBS but that is straight forward with net2bbs Netfoss config. I've been trying to find a way to load netfoss before the login routine, but I have failed.

    Would you be willing to provide a netfoss howto for other new Mystic sysops like myself?

    Are you using Linux, Phil?

    If you're on Windoze, you don't need dosemu.

    What door? You're posting from a Synchronet board - are you running
    Mystic?

    I am running Mystic on Windows 64 bit and the 16 and 32 bit doors will run on Windows 64. Is there a way to work around the issue to make it work?

    I assume you meant to say the doors will (NOT) run on Windows 64...
    which is true.

    Here's the fix:

    https://github.com/leecher1337/ntvdmx64

    I don't have personal experience with this, as I don't run Windows
    (ever), but I know there are MANY sysops who use this successfully.

    So it looks like I was doing everything correctly. The one thing I failed to know was that netfoss does NOT work with SSH so any doors using Netfoss and a caller using SSH will not work. Good to know, right?

    I'd strongly suggest a 32bit VM and Mystic. I personally don't trust
    NTVDMX64.

    I don't use SSH, so I'd have to play around with that. I use telnet from a webbrowser through a VPN (or callers can go direct to my IP via a terminal program - non-SSH).

    That's the problem with trying to provide help today (I see it in 3D Printing and Laser etching as well as helping with vehicle issues), if we fail to get ALL the information, we thus fail to help the end user with getting them fixed.

    Try telnet and see if they work. They should. Then you can research SSH alternatives.

    Good to know, otherwise, indeed!

    Here is how I have Mystic BBS SSH working on Archaic Binary.

    Incoming SSH connections to the standard Mystic SSH server, and I use a 'startup.mps' file under scripts.

    If (ServerType = 2) and (Server = 'SSH') Then Begin
    // This is connection from SSH, making a loopback connection bridge.
    MenuCmd('NA', 'SSH Loopback');
    MenuCmd('GT', '|CL');
    MenuCmd('IT', '/addr=127.0.0.1 /port=23 /PROMPT');
    MenuCmd('GI', '');
    End;

    You might need to work around a few things, but my setup relies on the startup.mps to route connections based on their incoming servers.

    SSH connection does nothing except loopback to the localhost to telnet so its still secure from the user end but Mystic now sees it as telnet and 'just works' with all the doors/etc.

    Might help point you in a good direction.
